Africa Wajib Sacrifice Donation

Mandatory Sacrifice Donation

By fulfilling your obligatory act of worship during Eid al-Adha, you can bring hope to needy families in Africa.

The obligatory sacrifice is the sacrifice that must be made by every Muslim who is financially able during Eid al-Adha. Because it is obligatory for Muslims who are financially able, the sacrifices made during the festival period are called obligatory sacrifices. Indeed, sacrifices such as vow sacrifices, healing sacrifices, or thanksgiving sacrifices are those slaughtered at the person's own discretion.

The meat of the obligatory sacrifice, which must be slaughtered by the third day of Eid al-Adha, should be distributed as follows: a portion to the person who slaughtered it and their family, a portion to neighbors and relatives, and a portion to those in need. However, those who wish to extend a helping hand to people in need by donating the obligatory sacrifice, can earn great reward by donating the entire sacrifice.

As the Goodness Pioneers Association, for Muslims who wish to make a mandatory sacrifice donation during Eid al-Adha, we slaughter the sacrifice on your behalf in countries in Africa struggling with famine and hunger through our volunteer network and distribute it to families in need.

Who is obligated to perform the sacrifice?

Sacrificing the obligatory sacrifice is one of the most valuable acts of worship for Muslims. In addition to obeying Allah's command and earning reward, sacrificing also increases social solidarity and cooperation.

The answer to the question of who performs the obligatory sacrifice or for whom it is obligatory is that everyone who has reached puberty, who possesses wealth equivalent to 80 grams beyond their basic needs, and who can be described as wealthy must perform the sacrifice.

This act of worship, which appears in the Holy Quran as "Now serve your Lord and sacrifice," is a valuable duty for every servant.

The ritual of sacrifice, mentioned in the Surahs of Hajj and Kawthar, is also expressed in a hadith by our Prophet (s.a.v.) as, "Whoever has the means but does not sacrifice, let him not approach our mosque." From this perspective, the importance of the ritual of sacrifice is evident.

What are the types and conditions of sacrificial animals?

Complying with the conditions for obligatory sacrificial animals is one of the important rules of worship. The sacrificial animal can be small livestock such as sheep or goats, or large livestock such as cattle or camels.

Small animals can be slaughtered by a single person, while large sacrificial animals can be slaughtered by up to seven partners. Sacrificial animals must be of the appropriate age and healthy.

Slaughtering begins after the Eid al-Adha prayer and may be performed on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd days of the festival. After intending to do so for the sake of Allah, the slaughter is performed with the name of Allah.

In the obligatory sacrifice, the meat is divided into three parts and distributed accordingly. One part is for the family, one part is for relatives and neighbors, and one part should be distributed to those in need.

The obligatory sacrifice, which is a sign of closeness to Allah and submission to Him, increases solidarity within the community and strengthens bonds, as it provides an opportunity to share blessings with those in need.

How is the obligatory sacrifice donation made?

Sacrificing an animal is not only one of Islam's most valuable traditions, but also a form of worship that purifies one's wealth and soul and strengthens one's bond with Allah.

However, a Muslim can ensure that the sacrifice is made by donating the obligatory sacrifice amount and granting power of attorney. If a person has the financial means, it is also possible to make more than one sacrifice.

As the Goodness Pioneers Association, we accept your donations for the obligatory sacrifice and ensure that the meat reaches the tables of those in need in Africa.
