Make a Voluntary Sacrifice DonationA voluntary sacrifice is a sacrifice made voluntarily for the pleasure of Allah, even though it is not obligatory in Islam. A voluntary sacrifice donation is one of the most valuable acts of charity, bringing joy to the tables of the poor. A voluntary sacrifice may be made for the acceptance of prayers, relief from a significant hardship, or the fulfillment of a vow. Voluntary sacrifices may be consumed by the person who made the sacrifice and their family, provided it is not a vow. However, since the reason for the sacrifice is a spiritual means of seeking Allah's pleasure to be relieved of various hardships, distributing it to the poor is much more acceptable and rewarding in the sight of Allah.
We deliver your voluntary sacrifice donations to the poor people of Africa, extending a helping hand to hundreds of millions of people struggling with hunger. For your voluntary sacrifice donations, such as akika, healing, charity, thanksgiving, and vow sacrifices, you can choose our association's reliable network of volunteers.
Voluntary sacrifice is a sacrifice made by Muslims who wish to do so, apart from the sacrifice that is obligatory and slaughtered during Eid al-Adha. Sacrifice, which means a means of getting closer to Allah, is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam. The purpose of a voluntary sacrifice is to show one's devotion to Allah, earn reward, and engage in solidarity with the poor by distributing the meat. The types of voluntary sacrifices are as follows:
In these sacrifices, each slaughtered with different intentions, it is not appropriate for those who slaughter the vow sacrifice to eat the meat. However, in other voluntary sacrifices, the person who slaughters the sacrifice and their family can also eat the meat. On the other hand, donating the meat of the sacrifice to those in need is a very valuable act of charity for a Muslim. Therefore, regardless of the purpose for which the voluntary sacrifice is made, it is important to put the meat on the tables of the poor. There is no definitive answer to the question of when a voluntary sacrifice should be made, but scholars have stated that a sacrifice made and distributed on the day of Eid or the day before Eid is more beneficial in terms of helping the poor.
A supererogatory sacrifice is a type of sacrifice that a person can make according to their means and is not obligatory. However, any sacrifice that is obligatory can also be made as a supererogatory sacrifice. Although not mandatory, supererogatory sacrifices can be made to gain Allah's pleasure and earn reward. If a person cannot slaughter the supererogatory sacrifice themselves or wants to have it slaughtered and donated in a distant place, they can appoint a proxy. After granting proxy for slaughtering, having it slaughtered, and distributing, the sacrifice is slaughtered in the person's name with the basmala. Voluntary sacrifices can be made for specific intentions, such as akika for newborn children, shifa to protect from illness, and shukr to give thanks for a blessing received.
Those who wish to slaughter a supererogatory sacrifice can fulfill this intention by granting power of attorney. As the Goodness Pioneers Association, we slaughter your supererogatory sacrifice donations in accordance with religious obligations and deliver the meat to people in need. Our team, which works on a voluntary basis, has a network of volunteers in many places, from Asia to Africa, from Palestine to other regions where the oppressed suffer from food shortages. Therefore, by donating the cost of your aqiqah, healing, thanksgiving, alms, and vow sacrifices to our association, you can lend a helping hand to people in need. Our association will inform you after the slaughter and distribution process.
