What is Fitre?
Fitre charity is a charity that every Muslim must give after fasting during the blessed month of Ramadan for the sake of Allah, out of the happiness and gratitude of reaching the holiday. Fitre, which must be given at the end of Ramadan, before the holiday, is both a gratitude for the blessings given by Allah and a means for poor people to experience the joy of the holiday.
As Goodness Pioneers, we act as a bridge to the poor in the act of charity, which is the duty of every Muslim.
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Fitra has been made obligatory to purify the fasting person from unnecessary and harmful words and to feed the poor."
When Should Fitre Be Given?
Fitre can be given on any day during the month of Ramadan. However, it is recommended to give it before the Eid prayer so that those in need can meet their needs during Eid.
