A Door to Hope in Kilwa Village: El-Fettah (c.c) Water Well

As the Goodness Pioneers Association, we inaugurated the 4-share El-Fettah (c.c) water well in a village in Kilwa, Tanzania, Africa. This project, which was implemented to meet the clean water needs of the village's 200 residents, was completed with the contributions of 72 donors.

Project Details

The El-Fettah (c.c) Water Well is a meaningful charity project that provides a solution to the local community's efforts to access clean water by traveling long distances. The details of the project are as follows:

Number of Shareholders: 72 donors.
Share Cost: 500 TL.
Continuous Charity: The water well was built as a continuous charity that earns ongoing rewards for the donors.
Village Population: 200 people.
Nearest Water Source: Previously, the villagers had to walk 3 km to access clean water.
Location: In Kilwa, Tanzania, 5 hours by car from Dar es Salaam, 10 minutes by motorbike from the nearest road.
Local Language Sign: The sign reads in the local language: "This water well was built by the Turks; it is a gift to you."

The Water Well That Gives Life to Kilwa Village

Accessing clean water in rural areas of Tanzania is a major struggle. Women and children have to walk for hours to meet their daily needs. The El-Fettah (c.c) Water Well eliminates these difficulties and makes life easier:

Clean and Reliable Water: The villagers can now easily access clean water.
Health and Hygiene: Clean water helps prevent waterborne diseases.
Education and Time Savings: Children can now spend more time on their education instead of carrying water.

Opening Ceremony and Its Impact on the Community

Our opening ceremony was held enthusiastically with the participation of the villagers. Opened with prayers, the El-Fettah (c.c) Water Well is not just a water source; it has also come to life as a symbol of hope and solidarity. The sign in the local language contains a meaningful message that strengthens the friendship and bond of goodwill between the two communities.
